“Effective management involves a consistent, steady process of change in systems and people over an extended period, especially when responding to the changing needs of your clients.”

Identifying problems that need addressing is the easy part....making the strategic case to the board, residents, and staff that for the good of all …that’s where an outsider can be most helpful.

Many times the CEO/Administrator or Board is seeking assistance with analyzing their operations in order to become more efficient and effective in their management of the organization.

The goal of this operational analysis is to:

1.Identify and recommend revenue enhancements
2.Identify and recommend efficiencies in operations
3.Recommend areas for organizational change for system improvement

"As Board Chair of a retirement community, I was faced with
the unexpected resignation of the CEO. After a telephone call
I was put in touch with John Grace...he immediately took the
necessary action...my board is very pleased with the result--so
pleased that we entered into a consulting agreement."

John Grace worked for our organization over a three year period meeting each month with myself and our board providing valuable guidance and coaching on a number of critical issues. Here are the steps we took:

1. Converting from a government sponsored entity to a private not for profit 501(3) (c) corporation

2. Creation of a new board of directors with the accompanying bylaws, management agreement with the county commissioners, and a strategic plan.

3. Budget and financial plan for creating greater cost efficiencies in our operating systems program and

4. Building design, budget and completion of a 12 unit new assisted living.

I found John's style to be open, supportive and encouraging throughout these difficult times. He helped us to stay focused on our goals and outcomes.
